Our Tearoom

Unwind in our charming 17th century Tearoom, once a cattle barn, where you can indulge in fresh home-cooked meals featuring Isle of Wight produce. Savour delectable sandwiches, homemade soups, our renowned Millers Ploughman’s, and a delightful children’s menu. Top off your visit with our scrumptious cakes and scones, all made using our own milled flour, accompanied by a selection of teas and coffees.

Our History

Journey through time at The Water Mill, a historic gem dating back nearly 1,000 years. As the original Isle of Wight attraction, this mill has supplied flour and animal feed to Island residents for centuries. Driven by a waterwheel, the mill produces up to sixty tonnes of flour and oats each year, available for purchase in our gift shop and throughout the Island. Delve into our rich heritage as you explore the fascinating changes in ownership and the mill’s continued legacy throughout the centuries.
